  1. One day a man went hunting with a greyhound. He spent the day out and caught nothing but when he was coming home in the evening a hare jumped out of a bush, but the man was afraid to show the hare to the dog or even speak one word. He used to be always very lonesome by night. The dog saw the hare and followed him but the hare went from the dog. Next day he met the same hare again, The dog followed him for a couple of minutes, but then fell as if going to die. Next day the dog was all sores and bruises. The dog died and the man never again went
