  1. There was a boy about twelve years ago walking from Kilgarvan to Mangerton after twelve o'clock in the night.
    He was only about a mile from Mangerton when he saw a woman about thirty yards before him walking on the road. She had a grey shawl over her head and shoulders. He started to walk quickly to get up to her but as soon as he did she also began to walk quickly.
    After a walk of about sixty yards she turned in a gap of a field. He thought
