  1. Once upon a time there lived a man in Kerry. One night he heard a great noise in his garden. He went out and found a great number of men hurling. He got angry and began to scold them and one of them came up to him and said "You are a man of great courage" and said that he would get very rich if he went the country digging potatoes. The day after he went off as far as Tyrone and a very rich farmer hired with him. 25 th April, 1938.
