- (continued from previous page)bread was made from fine Oat-meal. Some made break every day and others made it to last a week. On some cakes people make a mark in the form of a cross. And some tasty cakes people decorated them with flowers and sometimes icing. The vessel in which the bread was made was called the pot oven.
