    went. There were stoppers in the churn which were taken out now and then to see if the butter were made. When it was made the butter milk was taken out by means of removing one of the stoppers. Then the butter was taken out of the churn by what are called "Pats" and washed in three waters. It was then put into a box and sent to the market.
