  1. The local roads in this district are all called after the places from which they start or to where they lead.
    There is a cross of four roads at Dromahane; one road leads to Newberry and it is called the Newberry road, another leads to the church and to Glantane.
    Near the church there is a cross of four roads which is called the Chapel Cross. One road leads to the church, another leads to Bweeing: one leads to Dromahane and the other leads to Pendy's cross
