- The Mallow Creamery was burned down in the year 1920 by the Black and Tan's that burning was the cause of many boys and girls losing their jobs. Also the beautyful stone bridge known as the Ten Arch bridge was blown up by the I.R.A. and is replaced by a steel bridge.

- There were two people drowned in the Blackwater while they were bading. One was a little boy known as Jim Gorden of Fair Street Mallow. He went in bading with other boys and he went diving he dived into a whirl pool(continues on next page)
