  1. To cure whooping cough take some milk which is left after after feeding the ferret and give to the patient to drink, Another cure is to take a "Hairy Molly" and put it in a little bag with a string and hang it round the patient's neck and as the "Hairy Molly" dies the cough goes with it.
    To cure tooth ache
    Take a smoke of a chalk pipe and it heats the gums and relieves the pain providing you are not in the habit of smoking.
