So there was a meeting called and in the end it was decided that he'd be let go, but prayers and Masses were offered for his safe journey and safe return. So he went anyhow and returned safely, so this broke the ice and alot more left their dear Barony. So the Forth people were a curious crowd but they lived well and were very fond of their bellies. There is a tradition going that after the Battle of Foulkes's Hill which was fought in 'Ninety Eight a young man from the Barony of Forth was observed to be crying in eyes out. Another man came running up to him as he thought he was wounded after the battle and asked him what was wrong with him.
