   for milk he did not like to part with her although he wanted the money and he had another cow at home which was not saleable at the time.
   He was not long at the fair till he so;d the cow and got a very good price. Then he and the buyer put the cow into the yard while they went into a back room to have a drink and to pay for the cow.
   While this was going on the man that sold the cow happened to look out the window and he saw a woman from his own village milking the cow into a flash of gutter. She mixed the gutter well and then tied it up in a corner of her apron. She went her way and the men who bought the cow had neither milk nor butter.
