    Blackcurrant is the name of a weed that grows in the cornfield. This weed is cut up and used internally for complaint of the throat. Birdock, yara and slachran are other destructive weeds. Wild carroway, birdock, and catmint were used for colds.
    A weed known as wild carrot is used for rheumatism, heart-burn, and lung complaints.
    The root of comphrey is used to cure sore feet or some complaint relating to the feet. The people long ago used it to set broken bones.
    St. Bridgets leaf, a weed that grows rapidly on good land was used for curing sores, cuts and rash.
