When playing catching a number of children come together. Some girl counts to twenty one. Whoever twenty one falls upon must catch the other children. The catcher then runs after the others and whoever she succeeds in catching becomes the new catcher for the next time.
To play "My man Jack" a crowd of children come together. There is one special person who is called the priest. The priest stands up in front of all the others with a rod in his hand. Those are the words he says.

But I say "My man Jack.
"My man Jack" says you lie sir. Then the priest asks "my man Jack" whose within sir, and if he doesn't answer he gets a slap of the rod.
Giving around the ring is played while sitting around the fire on a long winter's night. The children sit in a long ring around the fire. A big girl gets a ring and she holds it tightly in her joined hands.(continues on next page)- Collector
