The children are waiting anxiously for Christmas so that they can put up their stockings for Santa Claus and they are up at day light to see what they got.
Everybody that can, goes to Mass on Christmas day and receives Holy Communion.
There is a crib in every chapel and everybody says a prayer at the crib and gives a little money.
Everybody does have a great dinner on Christmas day, even the very poorest have bacon for the dinner and the rich people have a stuffed goose for the dinner.
The day after Christmas day is St Stephen's day. On that day the men dress in girls clothes put straw hats on their heads and go about to each house around the place. They have a fiddle or some instrument of music with them and also the image of a wren.
Four of them dance the half-set and the others play music.
