1. Diseases with their Local Cures

   Whooping cough When people have a whooping cough they eat the leavings of ferret, or if a person meets a man with a white horse, and him for a cure whatever he says supposed to be a cure.
   Sprains. People usually go to a spout, leave their sprained foot, or [?] under the spout until it is well bathed, others bathe the sprain with warm water, and others again rub in goose-grease, and bandage it up tightly.
