“In my district, Camphire, Cappoquin, Co. Waterford there are two Mass Paths.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Waterford there are two Mass Paths. The first is about one hundred yards from my home in the townland of Camphire in the parish of Cappoquin Co. Waterford which leads to the Public Road. All the people of Camphire used to travel this path on their way to Cappoquin Mass.
The second Mass Path is also in a wood. It runs through Hillahally wood across Camphire Hills to Dromare Mass. The priests used to say Mass in the people's houses. The people used to build houses of timber which were brought from place to place.- Not far from my house is a glen in which a priest said Mass in the Penal times. Ever since that time the place is called the Glen of the Priest or Gleann a Sagairt.
About a mile and a quarter from my house in the parish of Cappoquin, Co. Waterford(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Faisnéiseoir
