- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)it is the only bridge there is. It is said that in years gone by at a certain point in this stream there was a girl drowned. The stream must be flooded at the time as any part of it is not very deep in [?] normal times. However at this particular spot where the girl was drowned the people called it ath a colleen.Bridgetown is a thinly populated district. There are [?] only five houses in it but I heard that in days gone by there were several houses in it. The ruins of one only is to be seen today and the old man it belongs to is living in a shed that remained standing when the dwelling house fell. His name is Michael Welsh and is over seventy years(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
