- Long ago before doctors became famous many old people believed in curing themselves by means of herbs and other things. These cures have been handed down from generation to generation. Not many people now-a-days have these cures, because like many other old things they are dying out. There are many such cures known to the people of Clondalkin. My Granmother [sic] who lived at Mountain View, Robinhood Clondalkin had a cure for hemorrhage. She used to gather a purple flower called Heal's Ease and she would then boil it down. When it was ready she would put it into a tea-pot poured it out like tea, sugared and milked it for the patient to drink. She was known to keep a family of seven Tailors named Fitzgerald alive on this for many years.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
