- Amongst the wild birds of my district are crows swallows, robins, wagtails etc. The crows build their nests in the tops of tall trees. Swallows have a habit of building their nests in the eaves of houses and high up in the rooves of barns. The swallows nest is nearly always made of mud and twigs. The eggs of the wagtails are a light blue colour. The wagtails build their nests mostly in deep hedges. The robins unlike other birds, nest in convenient places, such as flower-pots and holes in walls. When swallows fly low it is a sign of bad weather , when they fly high it is a sign of good weather. To hatch eggs the female bird sits on them for a period of about two to three(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
