because we see bits of fir in the bogs yet.
There are three lakes in Croagh called - Croagh Loch and Loch na mBeann Finn and Dhu Loch.
The town of Croagh is about two miles long from Croagh School in Meenabradden.
There are lot of old names on the town of Croagh. I don't think it is necessary to mention them.
Loch na mBean Finn is between Croagh and Inver. It belongs to three Land-Lords. Cahoun, Sinclair and O'Donnell, but O'Donnell claimed more than half the Loch in with the Croagh lands, and he put up his marks there. It has a lovely shore and it has some fine trout.
It is all strangers who come there to fish. There were some great men who lived around this Loch.
James Harvey the great fiddle-player, known as the Nailer, lived there about fifty years ago, and beside him lived a man named Dunleavy who acted as a doctor. The people used to come a long distance to get vaccinated and they never would take the small-pox.
People who took bad colds and pluresys came to him to get cured.
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
