    There were two protestants and a catholic living together one time. The father of each was dead, but their mothers were alive.

    When they came back home they were very surprised to see the catholic safe at home with hundreds of cattle. They asked him where did he get the cattle, and he said that (get) he got them in the bottom of the lough, and that if he had any help that he could get more. The protestants said that they would help enough, and asked him what did they want to take.
    The catholic told them that they wanted nothing only three bags, and they set out. One of the protestants wanted to be in first to have the best share. The other protestant and the catholic tied him up in a bag and threw him out. He came to the top of the water three times, and the other protestant asked the catholic what was the reason for that. The catholic said that was sign that he wanted help for him to be going. He went into the bag, and the catholic threw him out, and had all the land for
