   Oaten bread, wheaten bread, potato bread, and boxty. The oatmeal was placed in a dish and boiling water was poured on it. Then it was placed before a bread iron in front of the fire. Beef was not eaten often. It was eaten salted. Fish were eaten generally. Some of the people caught salmon. Vegetables were always eaten. oaten bread and boxty are gone out of fashion now.
