Come wey may this time an' a will get ye yer (your) cows, but if the lake (like) happens agin, as a punishment ye'l (you'l) niver (never) get yir cows agin."
    His went wey (with) hir an' we got the cows at the burn githered (gathered) in a bunch. They wur jist in the spot where me father had always sayed there wur fairies livin', a nice green little spot in-uner (under) the bing. Me father had always sayed that he could hear
