Ar an leathanach seo

  1. They used to travel o pilgrim on foot from Clonmany ( distance 1 1/2 miles from Buncrana ) to Doonwell distance 20 miles from Buncrana) They left home fasting carrying great baskets fulll of empty bottles. They had certain customs which they always observed on these occasions, the bean a tighe used to wash her feet . They used to carry a loaf of home made oaten scone this sufficed for the whole journey until they returned home again . Then she presented each neighbours with her bottle of Doonwell water.
    There are "eye" wells and " head" wells in the locality which used to visited for cures of tooth the, head ache sore eyes etc. The same formulae as observed as going to Doonwell was necessary for these pilgrimage . One of these wells is still to be
