- One sunday evening for some recreation I took my was to a place they call Beam.
Where the girls they were showing, and likewise tip-toeing.
As they stood by yon fountain on More Heathy plain
There was each smiling creature, With fine Comely features.
You could scarce find their equal In this country
They were dressed back and sides, They could wish to be brides
And their faces they'd not hide when their true loves would see
To tell you the number of this large assembly,
To tell you in plain I could not calculate
For to sing you this tittle I own I was idle
When I composed these verses on Drimloc Fair
The places mentioned in this poem are Drimloc (or Duloch) a lake between two hills about 2 miles(continues on next page)- Informant
