The people get a round hoop and put three thick rods,one bent down in the middle, and two others not so far down, all three meeting at opposite sides of the hoop. Then the small rods are woven out and in through the thick ones and round the outside of the hoop until the basket is made. The basket is used for holding potatoes and other things.
BASKET.
A special kind of rods must be used for basket making. They are called Sally Rods and every farmer grows a plot of them for his own use. These are used because they are(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
