Long ago in this district, there lived a man, a woman, and their son. The son got a terrible disease and died.
The poor man and woman were broken-hearted at the loss of their son. They prayed to God to give them back their son. The woman lit a candle and put it on the window. It was the custom in that house to light a candle on Christmas eve and put it on the window, in honour of the Child Jesus. They then knelt down to say the Rosary.
They were just ending the Rosary, when a knock came to the door.
The man unbolted the door, to find that there was a man, a woman, and a baby there. The man outside enquired how far it was to a(continues on next page)- Collector
