- About sixty years ago on the 12th July. The Orange men were to fight the Catholics in Derry.
From Inishowen and Clonmany 840 men went up to fight against the Orange men. These men wore Wallie Coats made of flanell. They carried Blackthorn sticks. They went to Derry a day before the fight and walked all the way for fear they would be noticed. Two Urris men who did not go to help in the fight when they arose the next morning their byres were burned by their neighbours. Captain Cone was the leader of the Orange men and Wadley Doherty Straths was the leader of the Catholics.- Faisnéiseoir
