The following poetry "Sweet Innishowen" was first written by James Green a local poet. He was born in a house at the Bishop's hill Glacknadrumman, Culdaff. He lived there for forty years and then went to live in Culdaff village. In the latter years of his life he lived at Dunross Culdaff and he died there at the age of 66 in the year 1933.
    Sweet Innishowen
Sweet Innishowen you're renowned in story,
Your silvery brooks and your rippling rills,
In Saint Patrick's time were Owen's glory
While life remains I will love thee still.

Slieve Snaught, I ween is your highest mountain,
A cap of snow its head doth crown,
    Cruck-na-nonain has crystal fountains
That to the Foyle goes a dashing down
