- The old people of long ago and even to the present day are able to predict the weather.
Some pople say that if a cat scratched a board or tree a storm would soon come. Another predict- is that if a cat sit with his back turned to the fire it would not be long until it rain. If the clouds were running across the sky the following day would be wet. When the wind is blowing south it is a sure sign that the weather will be very bad. The hard cold wind from the north is always supposed to bring frost and snow. When the crows are flying low it is also a very bad sign and is supposed to bring rain.
