The stable is made of stone and cement, and it has a slated roof. The stable is cleaned out everyday, and dry straw put into it. The horses are always shod in a forge. Young horses such as "year and a halves" only get two front shoes. All other horses get four shoes, and in frosty weather they get in frost nails.
