- In this district marriages occur most frequently in the months previous to lent and advent.
The marriage party which consists of the bride and groom, bridesmaid and best man go to the church to be married the brides-maid is generally an unmarried girl who is younger than the bride.
After the marriage is over the wedding party come to the bride's house for their breakfast.
There is great fun in cutting the brides cake and also many superstitions belief about it.
People say if you keep the first piece of the bride's cake that you're going to eat, and the last piece and sleep on it you will see the girl or boy you are going to be married to.
