A chapel is erected with a dignified steeple,
Just sixty feet high, from the base to the square
Proclaim it yourselves, said the man of the people.
In fame Kiltyclogher, brave Tottenham's fair.
The above song was composed by Bartley Gordon of Derragoon, Kiltyclogher. Tottenham was the landlord of this district. He held the first fair in Kiltyclogher, all the young people were to be in this fair, and any man who would pick a wife in that fair, would get five pounds reward from Tottenham.
Johnny Meehan of Derragood was the first man to get a wife and he got five pounds.
