    woman, she expects to get some little coin in return, lest she give away her luck. In this case a penny a half-penny or some similar small amount is given.
    When a baby is born in any house it is lucky to put "silver" in his hand so that he may always have plenty of riches.
    If a child or an animal is being praised by nearly everybody, it is customary to say "God bless him", otherwise some evil-minded individual may "overlook" him it is believed, and he may die or some misfortune may befall him.
    Some people believe that it is not right.
