    One night a man by the name of Kelly of Ballygologue stayed up for his brother. The front door opened and a cock came and flew round the room and he circled the lamp. Tigue Kelly heard a knock at the front door. He opened it but there was no one there. A knock came at the back door but when he opened it there was no one there. A knock once more came to the front door but no one was there. Without more ado he dashed up to his bed. When he got up in the morning he found his brother strangled.
    One night a man wanted a pound and he went to the farmer he worked for. The farmer would not give it to him and when he was going home he passed Gale graveyard. When he was passing it his mother appeared to him and she asked him what did he wanted but he would not tell her so she told him what he wanted. She told him to look at the bottom of the dresser and when he went home he found the pound and he said there was no change in his mother.
