Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)for sometime. The mother bird feeds them with a substance which she extracts from her stomach and is very like milk. It is called "pigeons milk". The pigeon lives on seeds, young turnips, and also cabbage. The pigeons are usually found plentiful where trees are in abundance. It has two stomachs. The food which the pigeon gathers during the day she does not digest but swallows it and when the day is down she brings it forth to her mouth and then puts it into her real stomach.
