    Is on the border of Kiltycarney. The meaning of this townland is the "fort of the Nuts." Long ago it is believed that the fairies lived in this place and were seen to eat daily of the nut trees, which grew in the fort. There are many stories told relating to these fairies. Even a few years ago many strange things are supposed to have happened to the cattle feeding there. I often heard that the cattle used to be routed off the field by the "Good people".
