- I often heard it said that the night of the "Big Wind" the fish were blown out of Lough Sur up on Gowley strand, and even up on the hill at the back of John Flynns of Gowly.
I also heard that houses in Rossy that were not stripped of their roofs that night had a slope towards the east, showing(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
