    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    Nearly everyone sows potatoes. This is how they are sown. At first the ground is dug into ridges. Manure is then spread on the ridge and it is covered with mould. The potatoes are then cut into slits leaving an eye in each one. A person then comes on with a "steveen" and makes holes in the ridges and drops the slits into the holes and then they are covered with clay. After a few days artificial manure is put on them. When the stalks are up well they are sprayed with bluestone and washingsoda mixed together. This saves the blithe from coming on them. The people around sow three and a half roods of potatoes. In the harvest they are dug out and put into the bard.
