- Aout seventy years ago a ploughman was ploughing in a field in the townland of Gahard, about three miles from the village of Ballylongford.
He struck a stone with his plough, on examining the stone he found it to be flat. Some neighbours came to help him to lift the stone and to their surprise found it to be the entrance to a cave. Some of the men went into the cave in search of treasure, but failed to return, others went in search of them but they also failed to return.
A few days later a man volunteered to descend into the cave,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
