- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Life will be like one long honeymoon,
Married in July with flowers ablaze,
Bitter sweet mem'ries in after days,
Married in August's heat and drowse,
Married in September's golden glow,
Smooth and serene your life will go,
Married when leaves in October thin,
Toil and hardships for you begin,
Married in veils of November mist,
Fortune your wedding ring has kissed,
Married in days of December cheer,
Love's star shines brighter from year to year.
Lucky days-: Monday for wealth,
Tuesday for health,
Wednesday the best day of all,
Thursday for losses,
Friday for crosses,
Saturday no luck at all.
Before the bride goes into the church she must put her right foot inside the threshold first. Superstition forbids the wedding ring to be tried on before the ceremony, if it does not fit, a new one should be bought afterwards. If the ring is cut it will bring separation or widowhood. The bride should wear something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
