    shops, a dairy and houses are to be found in Goatnaleck.
    In all this townlands there are old Caisils or forts some of them having the remains of stone walls round about them. One of these is up in one of our fields. In some of them nothing is found but trees and shrubs. People do not like to cut down any of the bushes in a fort.
    Some time ago the people thought that fairies lived in these forts and light used to be seen running from one place to another.
    Now there is no such thing.
