In olden times the people took no tea except at Easter or Christmas, and they used to make a great feast at this time of year.
They took three meals every day, breakfast, dinner and supper. For the breakfast they took thick milk and oaten-bread. They took (brusy) "bruisey" and butter for the dinner. The old people sat at a small table, and the children sitting on the middle of the floor around a big basket of potatoes. They took boxty at the evening meal and thick milk. They used to eat fresh meat and fish with no salt.
