- The parish of Calry, in which portion of the town of Sligo is situates, takes its name from Calrigia, a district which formerly included a considerable portion of the Co. Leitrim. Like all other places about Sligo, it is romantically situated, with the Coolageoboy and Cashelgal mountains on one side and Lough Gill on the other. In this parish are situated the ruins of Willowbrook (within a hundred yards of this school. .
