  1. Foxes are plentiful on the hills behind our house. They come down to the farmhouses at night and steal any fowl or lambs they can find. Many of them have been shot by the farmers around. The pelts are sometimes sold and sometimes they are sent to Dublin and furs made of them.
    A clever fox was shot at by a local farmer. He carried the fox home and threw him at the house and went in and ate his dinner. When he came out the fox was gone. SOme say the fox was
