- About one hundred years ago there was a priest whoes name was Fathr Cowley. He was living in the Parish of Catleconnor and he was hiding fromt he soldiers. They came to a certin house where he used to be, but he was gone out. There was a in the house and she went out in a window and gave him word to hide. He hid himself in the bog for that night and the next day the built a hut in the bog for him and built a clamp of turf over it the way it would not be remarked.
His brother in-law used to bring him food at night. One night when he was coming with food to him he saw a lit and he was certain that the soldiers was there but when he went in the priest was dead and the chalice in his hand and a lighted candle.
