Spinning and Weaving
The wool was shorn from the sheep, and tied up into fleeces, It was oiled with hair oil and teased. Then it was carded with two cards made of wool and wire. It was them spun into thread, and made into hanks. This was taken to a weaver who wove it into tweed or blankets.
Dyeing
Long ago the people used dye with Rock Shell. This shell grew on the rocks. They used to pull it off and boil it in a pot with some water. This was then strained and the article to be dyed was dipped in it.
Rope Making
