Ar an leathanach seo
- The people in olden times had two meals in the day. They used to eat oaten meal bread and they drank buttermilk. There was no such thing as tea then.
The people worked before breakfast. It was mostly potatoes and buttermilk and salt was for supper or oaten bread and sour milk. The people made potato cake and boxty bread. It was nearly all potatoes they put in the boxty. The table was hung up to the roof when not in use. The people long ago depended on the potatoes. The people had a lot of meat long ago, mostly rabbits, hares and birds.
