    Torsney got thrown and badly hurt and had to spend a term in hospital. When he came out he kept on racing. The late Willie Walsh, Carrowkeel, was at business in Sligo and used to walk home every Saturday night and back to Sligo on Monday morning which was a distance of thirteen miles.
    Mr. Mullanny at a sports in Riverstown jumped the height of himself and go first for so doing. There was a big crows of onlookers at this feat of activity.
