pair. A wedding is held in the bride's home. Long ago she remained in her own home for the first week. Then her husband came and brought her home. Such a practice is known locally as "dragging home" or "wedding procession." About twenty years ago a number of boys used to dress up in straw and visit the house while the wedding festivities were in progress. They used to dance and bridesmaid and then leave.
Long ago the people used to race against one another coming home from the marriage. The woman's crowd used to go in one group and the man's in another group. Which ever of them landed at the house first was the winner. Wives used also sit on horse back with there husband going home from the marriage
