- There are not many holy wells in this district.
A few of them are.
Lassar Well, Tobhar Eilbh and Saint Brigids Well. St Brigids Well is not visited by the people nowadays. Since a Protestant farmer bought the land the well is on, and stopped the people from going there. They also tried to fill the well with stones and rocks but it could not be done. There is a graveyard over the well which gives its name to the town - land Cill mac Roy. There is a ruin of an old church over the well where the priest used to say Mass in the Penal days. Lassar is still visited by the people.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
